If you’re new here, welcome! I talk about spice 🌶️, intimacy and relationships on the internet… but my partner and I also work together in hospitality. And right now, we’re DEEP in our busiest season. 😂

So welcome to the No S*X 🌶️ Diaries, a little glimpse into what love, intimacy and relationships can look like when life isn’t particularly spicy.

Look at us. Folding laundry together. Cute music playing. Helping each other. Domestic bliss. 🥹

What you CAN’T hear under this adorable music is us bickering. 😂

Today was and effing busy. I had a mountain of laundry to get through, Gab jumped in to help me, and somewhere between the exhaustion, stress and approximately 700 fitted sheets… we were getting on each other’s nerves.

And honestly, THAT is also part of the series!.

When you’re exhausted, working together, constantly solving problems and barely getting a second to breathe, you don’t always look at your partner through the most loving — let alone SEXY — lens. 😂 Sometimes the person you love very much is also the person whose breathing is suddenly irritating you.

That’s real life.

We definitely bickered. We definitely got annoyed with each other. And we definitely kissed and made up.

Then continued folding the effing laundry. 😂

I think there’s something important in that though. Intimacy isn’t just the cute cuddles, date nights, spice 🌶️ or moments that look good on camera. Sometimes it’s the repair after you’ve been short with each other. It’s being able to come back and say, okay… we’re tired, we’re stressed, we’re on the same team.

We’re not trying to have a perfectly romantic relationship through this season. We’re trying to give each other some grace when we’re not our best selves… and find our way back when we inevitably get on each other’s nerves.

Sexy? Not particularly. 😂

But kissing and making up amongst a mountain of hotel laundry?

I’ll take it. ❤️
