The No-S*x Diaries, day 10

Welcome to The NO-S*x 🌶️ Diaries: Day 10 😂❤️

For anyone new here… welcome to the series where a person who talks about spice 🌶️ on the internet is currently documenting how very little intimate she is actually having. 😂

My boyfriend and I also work in hospitality, and right now we are DEEP in high season. Long days, physically exhausting work, hundreds of people coming through, and very little time where one of us isn’t needed for something.

Including apparently… eating dinner. 😂

This is what dinner looks like right now.

One of us says: “Go eat. I’ve got it.”

That person disappears into the kitchen, sits on the counter, shovels some food into their mouth in peace while the other deals with clients, questions, problems, phone calls and whatever other random shit is happening.

Then we switch. 😂

Is it romantic? Absolutely effing not.

But is there something really loving about looking at your partner and realizing they’re running on empty and saying, “I’ve got this for ten minutes. Go take care of yourself”?

I think so. ❤️

We talk a lot about intimacy as cuddling, kissing, socs, date nights, deep conversations… but sometimes intimacy is practical as hell.

It’s noticing what the other person needs and taking something off their plate. It’s being a team when life is chaotic. It’s creating a tiny pocket of space for the other person to breathe… or in this case, EAT. 😂

This season is not particularly sexy.

But damn, we make a pretty good team.

Current love language: “Go eat. I’ll deal with everyone.” 😂❤️
