No, I'm not a walking infectious disease
After 4 years on YouTube talking openly about smeggs, relationships, and alternative lifestyles, some people seem convinced that I’m basically a walking infectious disease.
Plot twist: I’ve never contracted an STI.😱
Why?
Not because I’m special. Not because I’m lucky (although luck probably played a role in my younger years😅). And definitely not because I haven’t had sex.
It’s because safe sex practices, regular testing, communication, and education actually work.
Now, if I’m being completely honest, twenty-something me wasn’t nearly as responsible as thirty-something me. There were times when I took risks, times when I wasn’t as informed as I should have been, and times when I relied more on luck than I care to admit. Looking back, I’m grateful that luck never ran out.🙏
These days, I take my smeggsual health far more seriously. Not because I’m afraid of smeggs, but because I enjoy it. And I want to keep enjoying it.
One thing I’ve noticed from creating content online is how much fear exists around STIs. People talk about them as if a diagnosis means your life is over, your smeggs life is over, or you’re somehow damaged.
The reality is that most people will encounter STI risk at some point in their lives. That’s not a moral failing. It’s part of being a smeggsually active human.
The good news? We have more tools, information, testing options, and treatments available than ever before.
Education doesn’t make smeggs less exciting.
It makes it safer.
And when you understand the risks, how to reduce them, and how to take care of yourself and your partners, you get something pretty amazing in return:
The freedom to stop living in fear and start living your life.
Get tested. Learn the facts. Have the conversations.
And then go have fun!!!!🤩
