A whole day with my partner and zero desire

One of the weirdest things I’ve noticed about being in a long-term relationship:

Sometimes I can spend an entire day with my partner and feel zero desire.

Then I’ll see him across a room talking to people and suddenly I’m like…

Apparently there’s actually research suggesting that seeing your partner in a new light can increase desire. Which honestly tracks, because in those moments I stop seeing the guy who has a man cold and start seeing… that hot guy over there.

The brain is weird. Desire is weird. I am endlessly fascinated by both.
