My sketches from a bondage life-drawing class
So I was cleaning my room today and came across these sketches (NO judgment please 🤣😅) I made during a “Bondage Life Drawing” 🪢 sketching session at this beautiful Shibari studio in Montreal, @tensionmtl .
I personally find rope SO beautiful to watch, and I decided to try something new and tap into my sketching skills (stick figure level experience over here 😅🙋🏻♀️). I actually brought my friend who’s an artist because I knew she’d appreciate the activity too.
It was such a relaxing afternoon , being in a room full of people, music playing, observing the model hold these incredible poses anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. Definitely not an easy task, but she made it look effortless.
It took me a little while to ease into the creativity. My drawings started out very “stick figure” 😅 and slowly evolved into something much more detailed and beautiful.
By the end, I was honestly pretty proud of what I created 😏 There’s something really special about using different parts of your brain and letting yourself create just for the sake of it.
This is 100% an activity I’d do again. They offer these sessions every first and third Sunday of the month 🖤
Would you ever try an activity like this?
